Yama-Con is a 3-Day convention held annually at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, TN! Yama-Con prides itself on offering fan events for all-ages celebrating the Arts and Culture of Japanese Anime (animation), Comics, and Cosplay (costume-play).

Yama-Con Anime/Comic Convention has three goals in hosting its events:

  • Provide a venue for fans of Animation and Manga to come together in a festive enviroment.

  • Educate people about the history and culture surrounding anime and manga, by hosting guests from the industry.

  • Learn about Japanese culture through animation and comics.

We’re all fans, just like you!

We’re a Non-Profit Organization meaning every dollar spent by fans such as yourself goes into making future events bigger, and better than ever!

  • Yama-Con’s name comes from the Japanese word for mountain because the East Tennessee area is famous for the Great Smoky Mountains.
  • Yami, Yama-Con’s cute and bubbly fox girl mascot, was chosen because foxes are native to the Tennessee area. Her sidekick, Yama-Coon, is a raccoon that is also native to the region.
