As many of you know, there has been a change in ownership this year, and I would like to introduce myself. If you hadn’t noticed anything different, then I’ve accomplished what I wanted to do.
I have known Elle and Nick Carr for over 8 years, and have been to every Yama since year 1. I have seen this con grow from being at the Ramada to the Ramada and the Leconte! What an awesome job they have done!
When they asked me to take over, my only condition was to keep the con the way it was. With just a few minor changes, their staff has been a vital part of the transition. I can’t thank them enough!!
It has been a wonderful experience seeing many familiar faces and many more new ones. We had a record-breaking attendance this year and am proud to be a part of it!
Thank you all for your continued support! Without you, none of this would have been possible!
I would also like to thank my guests, panelists, vendors, artists, Leconte, Ramada, staff, volunteers and especially Elle and Nick, who guided me through the year to make this the best Yama ever!
Moving forward, the only major change is being a nonprofit 501c3 organization. Which means you can earn credits for volunteer work. (Also looks good on your resume.) Please consider joining us in the future!
